Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to shop at OrangeWear comfortably, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard navigation.

Our commitment

Our website is designed and built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as our goal. We consider accessibility when we add new pages, products and features, and we keep improving our website based on testing and feedback.

What we've done

  • Readable text: clear text contrast, readable font sizes and pages that adapt when you enlarge the text with your browser's zoom.
  • Keyboard navigation: menus, filters, the cart and dialogs work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Screen readers: descriptive labels for buttons, links and form fields, and announcements when your cart is updated.
  • Structure: a logical heading order and consistent navigation on every page.
  • Motion: we respect your device's reduced motion setting.
  • Responsive design: our website works on phones, tablets and computers, and when you zoom in.
  • Product options: colour swatches have text names for screen readers, and the selected colour and size are always written out.

Known limitations

We're still working on some parts of our website:

  • Some product images come from our suppliers and may not yet have detailed text descriptions.
  • Some features are provided by third parties, such as the checkout (Shopify), order tracking and the cookie banner. We choose providers that work on accessibility, but we can't fully control their content.
